March 21-24, 2016 at the Congress Center Saar, Saarbrücken, GERMANY
1st IEEE European Symposium on Security and Privacy
The IEEE European Symposium on Security and Privacy (EuroS&P) has been founded as the European sister conference of the established IEEE S&P symposium, and thus as a premier forum for computer security research, presenting the latest developments and bringing together researchers and practitioners. We solicit previously unpublished papers offering novel research contributions in any aspect of security or privacy. Papers may present advances in the theory, design, implementation, analysis, verification, or empirical evaluation and measurement of secure systems.
Topics of interest include:
This topic list is not meant to be exhaustive; Euro S&P is interested in all aspects of computer security and privacy. Papers without a clear application to security or privacy, however, will be considered out of scope and may be rejected without full review.
Given the rapidly expanding and maturing security and privacy community, we hope to increase the acceptance rate of papers that are more "far-reaching" and "risky," as long as those papers also show sufficient promise for creating interesting discussions and questioning widely-held beliefs.
All deadlines are 23:59:59 CET (UTC+01).
|Paper submission deadline||August 6, 2015 No Extensions|
|Author response period||September 29 - October 1, 2015|
|Acceptance notification||October 28, 2015|
|Final papers due||January 10, 2016|
All submissions must be original work; the submitter must clearly document any overlap with previously published or simultaneously submitted papers from any of the authors. Failure to point out and explain overlap will be grounds for rejection. Simultaneous submission of the same paper to another venue with proceedings or a journal is not allowed and will be grounds for automatic rejection. EuroS&P 2016 includes an author response period, which gives authors the chance to comment on reviews their papers received. Papers may not be withdrawn between the start of the author response period and acceptance notification. Contact the program committee chair if there are questions about this policy.
Papers must be submitted in a form suitable for anonymous review: no author names or affiliations may appear on the title page, and papers should avoid revealing their identity in the text. When referring to your previous work, do so in the third person, as though it were written by someone else. Only blind the reference itself in the (unusual) case that a third-person reference is infeasible. Contact the program chairs if you have any questions. Papers that are not properly anonymized may be rejected without review.
Papers must not exceed 15 pages total (including the references and appendices). Papers must be formatted for US letter (not A4) size paper. The text must be formatted in a two-column layout, with columns no more than 9.5 in. tall and 3.5 in. wide. The text must be in Times font, 10-point or larger, with 11-point or larger line spacing. Authors are encouraged to use the IEEE conference proceedings templates. LaTeX submissions should use IEEEtran.cls version 1.8a, dated 2014/09/17, in Compsoc Conference Mode. Failure to adhere to the page limit and formatting requirements can be grounds for rejection.
Submissions must be in Portable Document Format (.pdf). Authors should pay special attention to unusual fonts, images, and figures that might create problems for reviewers. Your document should render correctly in Adobe Reader XI and when printed in black and white.
Papers must be submitted at https://eurosp2016.cispa.saarland/papers/ and may be updated at any time until the submission deadline expires. The submission site will open July 20, 2015.
Authors are responsible for obtaining appropriate publication clearances. One of the authors of the accepted paper is expected to present the paper at the conference. Submissions received after the submission deadline or failing to conform to the submission guidelines risk rejection without review.
