Hotel Information

The Symposium will be held at the Claremont Resort, in Berkeley, California, "one of the few hotels in the world with warmth, character and charm" according to Frank Lloyd Wright.
Please Note:  The deadline to receive the conference rate for rooms quoted below has passed.  However, there are still rooms available at the Claremont.  Please be sure to identify yourself as part of the IEEE Computer Society group when you make reservations.

Making Hotel Reservations

A block of rooms has been put aside for Symposium attendees. There are two types of rooms available (rates do not include sales/room tax of 11%):

You will need to specify which type of room you would like when making your reservation. Please note that both rooms are limited availability, on a first-come, first-served basis.

These rooms will be held under the code name of "IEEE Computer Society" and will be on hold until date not yet available. After this, rooms and rates will be on an availability-only basis.  The Hotel phone number is 1-800-551-7266.

The Hotel may require a deposit in advance from individual guests to guarantee a particular reservation.  Guaranteed reservations are held until at least midnight, at which time the reservation and deposit are forfeited.

The Claremont is easily accessible through three airports, San Francisco, Oakland, and San Jose. Driving Directions to the Claremont are given for San Francisco and Oakland. If you are driving from San Jose, leave San Jose airport and head to Oakland. Once in/near Oakland, follow the driving directions given.

If you prefer not to drive, here are some additional transportation options, including the ever popular BayPorter shuttle.
