RSA to develop crypto in China?

[14 February 1996] According to a recent Wall Street Journal report, RSA has announced a partnership with the Chinese government to fund Chinese government scientists to develop new encryption software. The software, based on RSA's algorithms, but developed in China, might be provide stronger encryption than RSA could export from the U.S. under current laws.
