The 5th INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP ON INTERNET COMMUNICATIONS SECURITY
         WICS'07 (http://aspects.uc3m.es/wics07)

(in conjuction with DEXA 2007 Conference)

Overview
--------
With the advent of Web and its increasing dominant force in
industry and commerce, the Internet has become not only a
communications means, but also a key tool for businesses, research and
social development. Nowadays it is possible for us to file our tax
report, buy books and CD's from a vendor in another continent and even
download multimedia content to out TV, thanks to the use of those
information networks. However, the more information is being
transmitted, the more probable is that we are interested in providing
that communication with some type of security (let it be
confidentiality, authenticity, non-repudiation, etc...) Furthermore,
with the emergence of new technologies and devices that are capable of
getting access to the Internet, we are also looking for solutions that
allow these devices to secure the information they transmit in a
similar way that it is done with personal computers.
The 2007 International Workshop on Internet Communications Security
reaches its fifth edition and it will run in conjunction with the
International Conference on Database and Expert Systems Applications
(DEXA 2007).
