IEEE PerCom is the premier venue for presenting scholarly research in
pervasive computing and communications. PerCom 2027, now in its 25th
year, is held in Goa, India, as a physical in-person conference.
At least one author of each accepted paper must attend in person;
remote presentations are not permitted except in exceptional
circumstances (visa or health issues, evaluated case by case).
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
Pervasive systems and infrastructures:
Middleware systems and services; data engineering for pervasive
computing; cloud, fog and edge computing
Foundational theory:
Context modeling and reasoning; programming paradigms;
spatio-temporal modeling; complex networks; adaptive computing
Technological innovations:
Architectures, protocols, and technologies for pervasive
communications; energy-harvesting, self-powered, or battery-less
systems; mobile and wearable systems
Domain-specific applications:
Activity and emotion recognition; urban/mobile crowdsensing and
intelligence; pervasive healthcare and well-being; smart homes and
pervasive virtual assistants; sports analytics; service robotics;
smart vehicles
User interaction:
Participatory and social sensing; fairness; user interface,
interaction, and persuasion; human-machine collaboration
Security and ethics:
Pervasive security, privacy and trust; ethical aspects of
pervasive computing
Intersections with:
IoT and sensor systems; AI methods and models; opportunistic
networks; pervasive data science; cyber-physical systems
Submission instructions: Papers must be at most 9 pages of technical
content (10pt font, 2-column IEEE format), including text, figures,
tables, and appendices, plus up to 1 additional page for references
only. Use IEEE LaTeX or Microsoft Word templates. Authors should make
